Visiting the Forest of Dean

Situated within the statutory Royal Forest of Dean the Pumping Station is surrounded by forest. Walking from your accommodation you can explore Chestnut Woods, Edge Hills Plantation or Flaxley Woods.  

St Anthonys Well is nearby and is an historic bathing pool set within a beach wood. 

Highland cattle and Exmoor ponies are grazed on Edge Hills to help restore the forest habitat for species such as butterfly and adder.

As a working forest you will come across active timber management alongside mature trees that have been growing for hundreds of years.
