Pumping Station Green Bottom

Jill and Brian Robinson first moved to the Pumping Station in 1991 and now run the business with their Daughter Kate Batt and Son in Law Richard Batt. The Pumping Station was built in 1887 to supply water to the East Dean.

Sleeping up to 10 people in 4 separate accommodation units allows the accommodation to be matched to family needs. The large heated conservatory and courtyard are ideal for relaxing.

Heating throughout the property utilises the water running under the building with a heat pump to provide controlled heat and hot water while reducing power consumption by around 75%.

European Union funding

Redevelopment of the Pumping Station was completed in 2020 whilst retaining most of the original style but developing luxury holiday apartments including accessible accommodation. The conversion work was supported by European Union funding.
